World's First Peppa Pig Theme Park

As Peppa Pig’s popularity has rapidly grown in the United States with toys, merchandise, clothing, etc. The world’s first Peppa Pig Theme Park will have their grand opening February 24, 2022. The park will be located next to the LEGOLAND Florida Resort. This is a unique park because it is a Certified Autism Center with accessible ride vehicles for individuals that are wheelchair bound.
Peppa Pig Theme Park is working with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to earn its accreditation as a Certified Autism Center. The staff will be trained on autism sensitivity and awareness. With these specific trainings the staff will be able to engage with parents and their children on the autism spectrum. Not only does the park exemplify inclusivity but also there is a lot of effort in the layout and the sensory needs of children on the autism spectrum. There will be a sensory guide that contains a description of the ride and how that will affect their child’s senses. This is a way to relieve stress of parents, because they are able to know what types of rides their child will have the most enjoyable experience with.
Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride is accessible for individuals that use a wheelchair. The children are able to roll onto the ride without having to be transferred or having an alternative choice for the ride.
