The Best Autism-Related Advice Received

Although having a loved one with autism can have its challenges, there’s something really remarkable about the community and amount of support families, friends and people with autism have. A few times a year, we like to take a moment and ask our community the best autism-related advice they’ve received. These meaningful responses allow people to see they are not alone and they have a community here to support and uplift their loved one with autism.

Here’s what the community had to say!

  • “Let your child do and become whatever she wants to be, don’t just think because she’s autistic that she can’t do it” @miss3mrsnoble

  • “Accept your kid for who they are.” @ladcraig

  • “Keep close to your heart the happy moments. You need them for the difficult days” @charliehbugg

  • “You are your child’s best advocate!” @armybrat4eva

  • “Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must, but just never give up” @beulagovindan

  • “Everything will come on their time” @chevyboy1968

  • “Don’t compare your child to others. They all grow and learn at their own speed” @missa_medrano_vega_sanchez

  • “Do not limit your son or daughter because they’re actually very smart and will do wonders if you see past the autism” @super.s269
