Indoor & Outdoor Summer Activities for a New Normal

COVID-19 has made this year a very stressful time for everyone, especially, for those parents with children with special needs. But don’t worry! Summer can still be an exciting time to spend as a family and here’s why.

Below you will find a list of different summer activities that can help your staying at home with your child during the summer be a little more exciting and easier:

  •  Family Picnic: pack your child’s favorite snacks, juice and toys and go to the park for a family picnic.

  • Sidewalk Chalk Paint: go to the sidewalk outside your house and draw or write your favorite things or even draw games to play. This way your child can also practice their handwriting while having fun.

  • Sensory Cave or Tent Inside your House or In The Backyard: show your kids how to set up a tent while doing it with an actual tent or just with chairs and pillows.
