Your kid will remember the fun you have in making your own pancakes and then getting to eat your delicious pancakes. You have the opportunity to find an activity that you both may find that you truly enjoy baking together. There is the potential to have a new weekly activity of making pancakes together.
Making pancakes is not only a great way to form a close bond with your kid, it can also be a great opportunity for your child to learn. When making pancakes, you could have your child find the correct measuring cups for the various ingredients. They could also help to measure out each ingredient to learn about the differences between a cup, a teaspoon, and a tablespoon. If you decide to add chocolate chips or blueberries to your pancakes, you could ask them to make shapes or animal faces on the pancakes as well.
Pancake Ingredients:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 ¼ cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Strawberries
Bananas
Peanut butter
Steps to make the pancakes:
Step 1: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
Step 2: Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
