A Florida Art Gallery Run by Four Artists with Autism

Art is a wonderful way to express one’s thoughts and can help to unite people. One shop in Florida primarily features the work of four artists who have bonded not only as artists but as people with autism. This shop is called The Autism Art Gallery and Gift Shop.

The shop opened in January 2015 and was launched by Artists With Autism, Inc. The idea for Artists With Autism, Inc. sprouted when Cynthia Drucker’s son, Brandon, struggled to find a job after high school. Despite his obstacles, his mother noted on their website that he was very passionate about art. People became interested in his art after he made Christmas cards, which ultimately led to the creation of The Autism Art Gallery and Gift Shop.

The four featured artists are Brandon Drucker, Jayson Halberstadt, Joseph Michael Vidal, and Andres Pola. All four of these artists started by displaying their works together at various galleries and pop-ups throughout Florida. Among their pieces are also artworks from other artists with autism that can be found in their virtual shop.

The shop is located in the Festiva Marketplace in Pompano Beach, Florida. This business is run by only volunteers and is funded by public donations. On their website, you can learn more about the artists, the programs run by the business, and see their virtual shop to purchase art from artists with autism, including art from the original four artists.

If you want to see more about this business or order artwork, check out their website.
